We hope that you have all survived the end of term, and are looking forward to the vacation!

If you are not leaving us this summer the following conditions for borrowing will apply.

8 items may be borrowed in total for all borrower groups:

  • 2 weeks – undergraduates
  • 3 weeks – graduates
  • 4 weeks – staff/academics
  • Books marked as 2 day and bound periodicals are borrowable for 2 days.
  • DVDs have a one week loan period
  • Overnight loans (MPhil shelves) will remain as overnight; please ask us if there is a title that you are interested in borrowing

Loans are as normal and not set for the entire vacation.  You should be able to renew online to extend your loans to the beginning of Michaelmas Term, as long as your account doesn’t expire with us before then.

Please get in touch with us either via email (afrlib@hermes.cam.ac.uk) or phone (01223 334398) if you are experiencing any problems with your account, or renewals, so that we can help you to avoid accruing any fines.
